Dining Credit Expiration Clarification

Possibly a dumb question but:
I see that my dining plan credits expire on Midnight of the day I check out, If I check out on the 13th can you please clarify if that means I have credits on the 13th that expire that night or do they expire the night before so when I wake up on the 13th they are gone?

They expire at midnight when the 13th becomes the 14th

They expire at 11:59 p.m. after you check out.
