Dining Choices for DLP and DTD for 7th Birthday

In a few days, it will be only 60 days until our first day of our trip!

Our original plans have changed a bit with the awesome news that my DS and DN will be joining us for our first day in the park. That first day will also be my DD's 7th birthday and I'm looking for some suggestions for lunch and dinner in Disneyland and/or Downtown Disney. I'm planning on bringing a simple picnic breakfast to eat while waiting in line so we be amongst the first into the park, but after that my original plans of lunch at AG are changing a bit. Since I don't want my DS to have to have to pay for a park hopper tickets, I think we'll just hang in DL or go out to DTD. I'm not a novice to Disneyland, by any means, but would love to hear some of your input as to which places you would choose for a 7 year old girl's birthday lunch and dinner.

What about Blue Bayou? Would she like to eat lunch (or dinner) and watch the boats? Rainforest Cafe in DTD would be fun too! I know my kids love going there!

She probably would love Blue Bayou but I want to go there on MY birthday two days later. Rainforest is a great idea! Last time we ate there, though, we got seated in one of the very front sections that wasn't terribly scenic. Any suggestions for getting a great table and section at Rainforest?

We go to Goofy's at the DL hotel. Goofy "bakes" with the children and they have a good time. More then just characters walking around.
