I posted this before - but now I am going to re-post and start off by saying that I am a travel agent and CANNOT add on the DDP because my room is at a Travel Agent discounted rate and they wouldn't allow me to add it......

here goes -

Im checking out the menus online, and doing a rough estimate budget - tell me what you think.....

Me & my boyfriend are staying at CSR for 6 nights.... here is my breakdown -

We are pretty much planning on counter service for bfast & lunches nothing fancy.... for dinner I have res at Portobello Yacht Club, San Angel Inn, Kona Cafe, Concourse Steakhouse, ESPN Club, and Hard Rock Cafe.......

Breakfast for 2 = $20 per day total
Lunch for 2 = $25 per day
Dinner for 2 = $100 per day
Snacks for 2 = $20 per day

Is this a good figure to go on??? more less? help:grouphug:

I'm in a similar situation. My CM Aunt is getting us hoppers for free and hugely discounted rooms wherever we want to stay, but dining will all be OOP. I think your estimates are very generous and you probably won't spent that much each day.

I'm curious to see what everyone says on this one.

I know me too - I def dont wanna short myself, thats why I estimated on the high end :-)

Have an awesome trip

I think you have more then enough budgeted for each day, and will be fine. If you purchase the refillable mugs at CSR, and only eat a light breakfast you will have 4 left over there each morning. I know we hardly ever eat 3 meals a day. I understand you can't get the DDP, however depending on where you eat and what you purchase and how hungry you are, we usually saved our desserts for snacks later. Grabbed a side of fruit at the food court for breakfast the next morning, used our mugs and we were set. I think you will be just fine and if you opt for a pricey meal one night you can use he extra money from days prior. I know I used to budget about $200 a day for myself and 3 kids, before the DDP, and that was just a guess because we were not doing as many TS as we do with the DDP now.

On the AllEarsNet, Deb has the various resturants and counter service and some of them have prices added. This might give you a better idea. Check it out. Hope this helps!!!

Forgot to say that it is under "Menus"!

Portobello Yacht Club, Kona Cafe and Concourse Steakhouse can be more than $100 at Dinner for two, especially if you add drinks ($10 martinis at Portobello), appetizers and or deserts not to mention tips. For these high end restaurants I would add a bit more.

Depending on how big of a breakfast eater you are and the time of day you will be eating it, may I suggest buying a box of donuts or muffins in the resort gift store and having them in the room. They are not too expensive. and will most certainly save you cash you can put toward those nice romantic evening meals.

I have also heard that you can budget a smaller amount if you have your table service meals at lunch time and counter service for dinner. I have never done this but it could work, depending on what kind of budget you are aiming for.

Good luck and above all, Enjoy! :)
