My dh lost his job last month, so we decided against WDW this year. But (keep your fingers crossed) Monday he has 2 second interviews. Hoping for him to get a job soon.

Talked to him today about Free Dining and could we go if he got a job soon? I said we could make reservation, put deposit on Disney Visa (no interest) and if he gets a job soon and we have money, go. If not, we could cancel at the 45-day out mark.

We would either go for Free Dining in Sept 16-20, or in November hoping to catch the Christmas party.

We did Halloween party 2 years ago, and Pirate and Princess party in January.

Anyhow, are the dining reservations for the character meals filling up? We would do the following:

PSB
LTT
Chef Mickey's
CRT
Le Cellier (I'm sure this is gone already)
and not sure of the others.

Just looking for opinions.

I'm hearing Le Cellier is pretty much booked up for dinner for the entire month of September. If I were you, I'd book the ADR's for the September trip ASAP, and then also for the November one, once you hit 180 days. You have some pretty popular restaurants on your list and it doesn't cost anything to make ADR's. Except for CRT, of course, and we haven't done that one so I don't know what to recommend as far as that goes. If it's completely refundable, and you have the cash/room on your CC, I'd probably go ahead and book that, too, since they book up. It would be pretty disappointing to find a couple of months down the road that you can afford to go, but you can't get in to your favorite restaurants.

Good luck and pixie dust to your dh on his job search!

I called this morning for ADR's. We're going Sept. 14 - 22nd. All the popular areas are filling up. Liberty Tree, 1900 Fare, Le Cellier, Whispering Canyon....I was flexible with my times so I got Le Cellier for a late lunch (2:20) and Whispering Canyon 8:30. If you are flexible with times you should still be able to get some decent locations but I wouldn't wait too long. Good Luck, I hope your Dh gets the job :woohoo:

We're going 9/9 to 9/17 and I called yesterday and the day before about reservations.

As of two days ago, from 9/10 to 9/16 there were two spots for 9pm and two for 8pm (we took one of those) for Chef Mickey's (the fifth day was booked solid). I also heard that Le Cellier was booked solid for September, but there are always cancellations so keep calling.

CRT had two 4:10pm seatings and one 7:40pm (that we took) in that time. I'd make reservations now and cancel later if you find out you can't go.

And here's a little pixie dust for your DH getting a job soon! Goodluck! pixiedust:

I think you should make reservations for the restaurants you would like to go to and then cancel if you can't do the vacation. But at least you won't be disappointed later if you wait and can't get the reservations.;)

I got pretty much every restaurant I wanted, But I did not get Lecellier or Liberty Tree Tavern. Ohhh well we are probably getting stake at Wolf Gangs.. Here our my ADR the only one I am not fond of is my first night Ohana its at 8:25 but we won't even be arriving at Disney until around 2ish in the afternoon so we will have a light lunch then head to the park for a couple hours before dinner..

9-22 Ohana 8:25
9-23 Boma 7:00
9-24 50's Prime Time 7:30
9-25 Wolf Gan 6:00
9-26 Nine Dragons 6:30
9-27 mama melrose fantasmic package 3:50
9-28 Crystal Palace 3:55 (perfect we are doing MNSSHP that night)
