I know all there is to know about the WDW restaurants and PS's etc. etc., but I know absolutely nothing about Unversal or Sea World, and we'll be visiting both for the first time in just a few weeks.

I would like recommendations on good places to eat lunch and/or dinner while at either park. What's been a hit and what's been a miss?

Also, if there is anything along the line of 'reservations' at either park, I'd like to get the skinny on that too.

Anyone care to share?

Thanks!
Jon

We ate at Mythos in Islands of Adventore last October. The restaurant is beautifully designed inside and the menu catered for a wide variety of people.

I have always found the restaurants at Sea World to be somewhat lacking. Whilst there last year we had breakfast at WDW before visiting SW.

Oh I need to second Mythos! That place was amazing! The decor is out of this world and the food was pretty darn good too! I think DH and I spent around $36 before tip for a lunch there. Not much of a wait either (this was back in september midweek)

We ate at one counter service place in Sea World...I forget the name of it...really didn't do much for me. I honestly forget what I had.

I have heard great things about Mythos and Margaritaville! In fact, both are on our list to try this summer!

Well, Margaritaville is located outside the park(City walk) as well as Latin Quarter(which we enjoyed)!

My family can recommend the Anheuser-Busch Hospitality Center at Sea World. Its counter service but they have an excellent cold roast beef sandwich on a baguette -- tastes like cold pot roast like Mom used to make -- I don't care for the bloody red roast beef from the deli. They also have chicken Caesar salads and such. Adults also can get (at a separate counter) two free, small, beer samples. The place is quick, clean and friendly.

Hi Jon! It's Sandy (from our August Illuminations Cruise!) So glad to see you're getting a chance to go back down there and escape the winter weather! We were down in December and will be there a week from today. I can't wait! As for your question we have eaten many times at Margaritaville. We have enjoyed it a great deal but I must admit to being a bit of a Jimmy Buffet fan so I'm not sure how much that influences our feelings. We have also eaten in the Hard Rock Cafe. Once again...decent food with interesting surroundings. Let me know if I can be of any further help!:wave2:

Finnegan's Bar & Grill (Universal Studios)

Check out this place, they have some good food here. I was there last June.

I liked Mythos as well. At Universal Studios I had great meals at Lombard's Seafood Grill and Finnegan's bar and Grill. At the Portofino Bay I had wonderful Italian food at Moma Della's.
