Quick question. When dinning at a signature restaurant, do they require certain attire. I have ADR at California Grill and Le Cellier and was hoping jeans and t-shirt was appropriate since we stay offsite and I wont be be going to change clothes.

Dress code, except V & A, is gone. A collared shirt (polo style) worn over your T Shirt is more in line with what is sort of expected at Cal Grill. You shouldn't have an issue with T Shirt, but guests sometimes want to dress up, a little.

Le Cellier is a theme park restaurant. Theme park attire works.

California Grill's stated dress code is below. This recent thread may give you some insight into what is accepted as a practical matter. The two things I have seen addressed in California Grill have been tank tops on men (they actually had some collared shirts to loan the diners I saw) and hats on men.

Guests are asked to adhere to the minimum dress code requirements at this Signature Dining experience. Dressier attire is also welcome. Please explore the minimum dress code requirements:
  • Men must wear khakis, slacks or dress shorts and collared shirts. Jeans may be worn if in good condition. Sport coats are optional.
  • Women must wear Capri pants, skirts, dresses or dress shorts. Jeans may be worn if in good condition.
  • Not permitted are tank tops, flip-flops, swimsuits, swimsuit cover-ups, hats for gentlemen, cut-offs, torn clothing and t-shirts with offensive language and/or graphics.
No dress code for Le Cellier. Park attire is perfectly fine and to be expected. Have a great trip!

Restaurants have gone from loaning jackets to loaning shirts.

The fact that T Shirts with offensive graphics and language are banned suggests a Disney T qualifies as a collared shirt.

We ate at California Grill on Halloween. Our clothes fit the dress code (khakis or black jeans, polo or button-front collared shirts) but we saw several parties with men in T-shirts and cargo shorts, so I guess they don't enforce it.

Agree that outside of V&A, I have not seen the dress code enforced for several years. At signature restaurants, I have seen many in t-shirts, cutoffs (just about everything but a swimsuit). Generally the attire in a resort signature restaurant might be slightly better than what is worn in parks, but not by much.
