My DH and I will hopefully be going to Disneyland for the first time at the begining of March! :bounce: We will probably only be staying for 3 nights and 2 days. One day we will do Disneyland, and the next we will do California Adventure. We have been to WDW many, many times, and find the dining to be one of our farvorite things about WDW. What are some must eat places that we should go to during our trip? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated :)

Blue Bayou! Wonderful themed restaurant.
River Belle Terrace - this is a family favorte for us, and it was Walt's favorite breakfast place. You wil see why - the people watching and views are great, the food is usually good (breakfast in particular).
Ralph Brennan's Jazz Kitchen in DD gets some good reviews.
Hook's Point at Disneyland Hotel was very nice.

There are so many places to eat there now, it is hard to choose. The only place I would say to avoid is the counter-service restaurant in Fantasyland. Be sure to check out Mary Jo's thread at the top tha has links to restaurant reviews by DISers - click here

You will find most (not all) people will tell you to go to the Blue Bayou. I agree. At Disneyland I also enjoy the food and ambiance at the Plaza Inn. It is not like the Plaza at WDW it is more like a Hybrid of the Plaza and the Crystal Palace. Red Rockets Pizza Port has decent food but the ambiance is not great. The New Rancho Del Zocalo has a great theme and look but the food (mexican and BBQ) is inconsitant and not thrilling.
I have not had alot of experiance at DCA. Taste Pilots Grill had good breakfasts but I don't know if they serve it there anymore. I really like the atmosphere and food at Avalon Cove.
At the Grand Californian we had a good lunch at The Storyteller Cafe.
At The Disneyland Hotel, I agree about Hook's Point. The food was excellent and it has a nice feeling there. We also have had great breakfasts at Gooffy's Kitchen.

<font color=navy>I think our family faves would be Hooks Pointe @ the DL hotel, Storyteller Cafe @ Grand Californian (have the chicken quesadilla for a light, yet delish dinner), and Arriba Arriba @ Downtown Disney (which not only offers food, but a great evening show, as well).

Food, my favorite topic!

I was there in October and I was very impressed with the selection of food they have now, compared to when there was just DL.

I agree that you must to to Blue Bayou, the atmosphere is wonderful, and the food is great too.

I went to Storyteller's Cafe twice, and loved it both times. Once was for the character breakfast buffet, which offered lots of choices, standard fare, plus some unusual (and delicious) dishes. They had eggs benedict, which is one of my favorites. Dinner there was great too. They have a buffet, or you can order off the menu, which is what we did. I had a terrific salad with gorgonzola cheese, pecans, and mixed field greens in a nice vinaigarette, and the corn chowder. THE CORN CHOWDER IS TO DIE FOR!!!

We had breakfast at Whitewater Snacks at GC one morning, and I really liked it. It was a biscuit sandwich with egg, cheese, some green onions, and the best bacon I've ever tasted in my entire life. It was only $4.95, and included some strawberries on the side.

We had breakfast another morning at La Brea Bakery. A little more expensive, but worth it. I had the lox and bagels.

We had lunch at Naples in DD, another great choice. I had a really great lasagna there, and BF had a pizza (VERY big for one person), and loved it.

I agree that YArriba YArriba is great too, you can sample lots of different dishes.

I wrote pretty extensively about my dining experiences in the link someone provided earlier. All I can say is, you won't go hungry, and there are tons of great places to eat!
