Hi everyone.

My family and I are taking a trip first week of July and we opted not to buy a dining plan. Its our first time to Disney and we figured that we didnt want to be restricted to having to eat certain meals at certain times, so we would instead 'wing it'.

We are staying at the Yacht club, can anyone tell us what our options are for each meal? Breakfast? Can we just charge everything to our room through our room IDs?

Helppp?:confused3

Yep, just charge it to your key card.

I think you are going to be eating at alot of counter service places because the table service restaurants are going to be booked. It is hard enough to wait for the rides but to be told that a restaurant is fully booked or has a really long wait is going to be frustrating especially if you have hungry children in tow. If you havent been to WDW before it is hard to imagine how big it is! There are a ton of great restaurants in the Disney empire to choose from wether you want alot of character interaction or just really good food! Even if you didnt plan everyday but at least planned a few things you were sure you wanted to do. Meeting Mickey is not as easy as the commercials make it look. If meeting a specific character is important to your children or you there are meals that make it possible. If you have any ??? just pm me or else peruse the boards. I think between everybody here every restaurant on Disney property has been reviewed at least once!:)

If you are planning on eating any nice meals at Disney restaurants, I would try to book something now. You could always just dine off site or eat all counter service meals, it's your choice. Just don't be disappointed with Disney if you can't get in some of the places that you had planned, without an ADR.

Our first trip to WDW we didn't do the Dining Plan and we ate all of our meals at CS except for a walk up at Planet Hollywood. It worked out pretty well since we really had no idea of what we wanted to do and where we would be on any given day.

However, I would agree that if you would like to go for any TS restaurants you should try to snag an ADR. On that same trip we walked up to Mama Melrose at 7:00PM and they just rolled their eyes at us when we asked if we could get a table.

You can charge everything to your room. Now going with out and ADR'S you will be eating CS a lot since most ppl have there ress left and these resturants are hard to get into.
