Dining at Disney on a budget?

If you have time go to your public library and check out a book or 2 on WDW. They will give detailed descriptions or restaurants and type of food. I found this to be very helpful before my 1st visit with the kids. It will also help give you an idea of which attractions you "must see."

you can go to allears net, click on dining, then on menus. you see what they sell, AND the prices (they may be a bit outdated.)

also, rethink the "3 squares a day" mindset. just nibble when you're hungry. it's vacation! al song as you feed your kids healthy at home, have ice cream for dinner! keep snackies is the room. I was flamed for this before, but nibbling on a twinkie in the morning, a slim jim on the way to the bus stop, will keep the "hungries" away, and you won't NEED to pay lots of money to eat (you can spend the time on the rides!), and split a CS later in the day.

For a "cheap" sit down meal don't forget Trail's End at Fort Wilderness. They have a good buffet and it's only $20.99 for adults at dinner. You can take a boat over from magic kingdom.

Also, the Hess stations on property have a grill in them, you can get things like hot dogs and pizza. From what I remember they had a large pizza combo for like $7 dollars.
