Dining at BCV vs BWV

My family is planning to rent points for the first time next fall. We have always liked the idea of staying at BCV for many reasons (location, SAB, etc). Just a little concerned that there appear to be only two dining options at BCV, Cape May Cafe or Beaches and Cream. Is this correct, and are there more options at BWV. My family prefers casual dining to sit down restaurants.
Thanks

BCV is only a quick walk or boat ride from BWV, which has more eating choices - ESPN Club, Flying Fish, a bakery, etc. You are also very close to the Swan/Dolphin with more choices. BWV offers more options, but you don't necessarily have to stay there if BCV suits you better. They are just across the water from each other.

The Marketplace has counter service, you have Hurricane Hannah's at the pool, Yacht Club Galley, Yachtsman Steakhouse in addition to Cape May and Beaches and Cream.

Over at the BWI/BWV, you only have the Leaping Libations at the pool and the place near the BWI. On the Boardwalk, you have Spoodles, Flying Fish, Big River Grill (yuck), ESPN, Boardwalk Bakery, the Candy store.

Epcot is right over there. Plus you have a kitchen in the villa.

And you have access to Swan and Dolphin restaurants. What more do you need?

I'll chime in with "they are all so close that the restaurants wouldn't be the deciding factor for us."

Exception is that if its raining, it can be a real pain to get to another resort - and a umbrella occation to get to the BWV restaurants which all have exterior access only - even if you are staying at the BW.

All the restaurant choices is why we love staying in the Epcot area! They are all within walking distance as others have noted. By staying there you have so many choices! So far we have only stayed at BWV, but will soon be staying at BCV. But even when we have stayed at BWV we usually walk to boat over to BC/YC for meals as well as the S/D. With Epcot in your backyard you are set for both TS and CS meals.

Enjoy!

I'm trying to remember when they open. I don't remember seeing them open during the earlier part of the day.

I was there 2 weeks ago, the funnel cake stand opened at 5:00pm.

If you are looking to go during the food and wine festival, you better rent and book soon. BCV and BWV fill very quickly during that time.

You will also be a short walk or boat ride to the Swan and Dolphin, EPCOT or MGM and all the places to eat there as well.

And don't forget the wonderful pizza window!!!

Something to note, if you are on the DDP you are very limited with CS options at the BW. We were very dissappointed in what was available, the pizza window and bakery. The last several nights there we moved to the BC concierge and found we preferred the BC marketplace and pool bar's CS options.

As far as TS its a non issue, everything is close. But for a quick bite is where we ran into issues.

The Marketplace at BC is small, but the food is good! The hot food choices are limited but always appetizing! I agree with everyone else, you are so close to Epcot, D&S & the BW, food options shouldn't be a problem.
Beaches & Cream also has counter service, but I don't know if it's the full menu or just ice cream?
