Hello all!! We are planning our first ever Disney trip for the 2nd week of May, 2008. We are staying 7 nights and plan on spending 5 days at Disney and 1 day at Sea World. Would you recommend spending one day laying around at the pool at the hotel? We are staying at Pop Century. Our kids will be barely 5 and almost 2.

Also... when should we book? I have heard a lot about the free dining plans... should we book our flight, tickets, and hotel all at the same time?

Thanks in advance!!!!

I think you have plenty of time to book, I am a planner so, for me the sooner the better for booking! I would defintely reccommend with two little ones taking breaks during the day. It gets so hot in Disney that it really tires you out. My DH and myself are in our early twenties and we take naps or trips to the pool in the afternoon. We normally are at the openings of the parks every morning, by doing this I feel that we beat a little of the rush and we notice that around 11:30 ish the parks really start to fill up. So around 2-3 we normally head back to the hotel for a nap or a swim in the pool. Which gives a nice break of your day, and it refreshens you for going back out later in the afternoon. I booked for the first time ever in November everything through Disney, including airfare. It was actually alot cheaper then booking through our regular flight carrier! So i would shop around and compare prices, then call up Disney and see what they are offering. Happy Planning! :tinker:

I don't think you need to plan to spend an entire day at the pool but just take pool time as you need it. Each day you will probably need a relaxing break at some time. If the reason you are asking is b/c you want to decide how many days you need to get tickets for......I personallly don't bother to buy tickets for the first day we fly in and the day we fly out. You can find plenty to do with the limited time you have on those days like swimming, shopping, dining and relaxing which you don't need tickets for.
