Okay, so this will be our fourth trip in four years and most likely our last for a while.

We have eaten at a lot of different places and certainly have our favorites. I guess my question is, do we stick with what we love or branch out and try new things?

So far we have eaten at:
H & V Breakfast (not bad, good for getting to Jedi early)
Mama Melrose (Fantasmic)
Brown Derby
Akershus Breakfast (meh for boys)
Teppan Edo
Le Cellier
Rose & Crown
Garden Grill
Cinderella's Royal Table for Lunch
Crystal Palace for Breakfast
Tusker House
Boma
Cape May Clam Bake
Chef Mickey's Breakfast
California Grill
Hoop De Doo
Mickey's BBQ
Whispering Canyon
1900 Park Fare
Raglan Road

So my question is... have we missed something we shouldn't? I would love some recommendations. We currently plan to get the DDP, but would consider upgrading.

We definitely have some favorites here, each family member has a different one.:dance3: I can tell you that we would never skip Boma, Crystal Palace Breakfast, or the Tusker Breakfast.

We do a mix of both, new places and old favorites but one thing we never do is a dinner buffet - the food is just ick (except for Cape May Clambake)

We mostly stick with what we like but try to add in a couple new places each trip.

We like to try new things so I always vote for new (we don't have any must-do places but we generally go to bluezoo each trip since it is everyone's favorite).

Although we are not buffet eaters, we love Biergarten. And if you've never been to Sci Fi (food is meh but the atmosphere is really fun) it's worth trying at least once.

Sanaa should definitely be tried. I also think Turf Club and the Wave are quite good for 1 credit places.

I'm currently on a quest to eat at all the restaurants on property, so I obviously would vote for branching out. The restaurants I have enjoyed that are missing from your list are 50's Prime Time (probably my favorite on property tbh) and Coral Reef (hit or miss for a lot of people, but I enjoyed it). I think if you're doing DDP, it's nice to throw in one or two repeat visits to your faves.

I always say change it up, but who am I kidding?? :rotfl2:
Lately, I have been booking at least one or two new restaurants, then keeping our staples. This december, we are trying Narcoosee in place of our all time favorite, Citricos. We haven't been to Narcossee in three years, so we are trying it again...(Hoping for a better experience). We also added Shula's Steakhouse & Rose & Crown. Actually, we are even for our 4night/5 day trip. Two restaurants new, and two we have already eaten at.

We do both. We love to try new places and we have our favorites as well. So we make a point of doing one of our favorites and trying one new (or haven't been to in a long time) place. How are you going to find new favorites if you don't try?

On our last visit in September we ONLY ate at TS restaurants that we hadn't tried before, and we had a blast. Now I realize that this might be a bit too extreme, but I'd definitely recommend trying a few new ones. Here are a few that we have enjoyed, that aren't on your list:

50s PTC, LTT, Yak and Yeti, La Hacienda, Biergarten, Tokyo Dining, Tutto Italia, Sanaa, Kona Cafe. And for signatures: Citricos, Cali Grill.

We usually do both. We eat a lot of our meals at our tried-and-true favorite places, but we also eat at 2 or 3 restaurants we've never been to before.

This year we tried Coral Reef and Yak & Yeti, and we had very good meals at both restaurants.

I would pick a couple of favorites to dine at and make the rest of your reservations for some place new.

I'm currently on a quest to eat at all the restaurants on property, so I obviously would vote for branching out.

Me too! But i also do a little of both..more likely to eat at the same restaurant for a different meal...had dinner at Kona last trip for the first time, though I've had breakfast there several times.

OP: It depends on your likes...some of my faves not on your list...Jiko, 'Ohana, Tutto Italia, Via Napoli, The Plaza and The Wave.

I'd love to be able to try almost all of the WDW dining places. It is going to take awhile because it is so hard not to do our faves every time we go.

Here are some that we've done and liked that you haven't done yet:
Ohana (a family fave for us)
Sci-Fi (I liked but it's meh to DH)
Coral Reef (my whole family liked)
Boatwrights (was very 1st place we did 3/2005)
The Luau (was pretty good...HDD is better)
Jiko (my very fave, along with Le Cellier)
Yak-N-Yeti (mmmmm)
Liberty Tree Tavern (if you like Thanksgiving fare, it's yummy)

Those are the best of the ones we've done that you haven't done. Then there are some that are just so-so and so I didn't mention them. There is only 1 place I would NEVER go again and that is Marrakesh...ick!!!!

We try to mix it up with a couple of our favs and a couple new ones on each trip.

Of what you have listed, I think you really should check out Artist Point or Citricos..they are both amazing! Top notch service, food and atmosphere...some of our favorite meals on property have been served there.

Two restaurants you did not mention that I really enjoyed were Narcoossee's at the Grand Floridian (go during Wishes!) and Marrakesh at Epcot. Don't be put off by the fact that you might not be familiar with Moroccan food. My husband is a meat and potatoes kind of guy and he found something he loved on the menu. (I think the lemon and garlic chicken.)

We're doing half and half - 7 favourite and 7 completely new ones to us :thumbsup2
