My husband just told me that he booked a weekend trip for us to WDW to celebrate our anniversary. :cool1: After I recovered from the initial shock, my first thought went to food and making ADRs. He knows that I love to plan the meals so he's letting me choose where we'll eat.

This will be our first trip without the kids (DD6, DD3, DD1). We are not picky eaters. We really love seafood and beef. I would love to try some restaurants that we might not choose to go to with our three young children. Any suggestions?

DH and I love California Grill. I went to Citricos while I was in Orlando for the National League of Cities conference in November, and DH and I will be going there this time. If you are looking for a non-signature, we like LeCellier (slightly crowded) and Chefs de France.

Thank you! I was thinking about California Grill and Chefs de France. I was also considering Fulton's, Flying Fish, Kona Cafe, and Coral Reef. The menu at Citricos does look good...so many choices!! Any additional thoughts on any of these restaurants?

Of the ones you mentioned, I have only been to Fulton's and Kona. DH has only been to Kona. He loves Kona - this time we'll be trying it for breakfast. I went to Fulton's with the same larger group while I was at NLC in November - I wasn't impressed. It seemed really loud and crowded - not my deal. DH and I will probably never go there because it wouldn't be easy for him and his wheelchair.

I'd suggest just about any of the Signature restaurants. We especially love Yachtsman Steakhouse for steak. In Epcot, we love Bistro de Paris (upstairs at France). Over at the GF we like both Citrico's and Narcoossee's. Other good choices include Flying Fish, Jiko and Artist Point.

Its difficult to chose among these restaurants so you might just want to plan them according to where you are staying or which park you plan on visiting on a particular afternoon/night.

DH and I really enjoyed Citricos. We had drinks at the bar (Mariner's?) in GF first and then walked out the the pier to watch the fireworks after dinner.

Mizners's - it's the best. DH and I end up there almost every night. The money we save by being there during free dining, we spend on cocktails :lmao: Awesome side story... DH and I went to Mizner's 5 of our 6 nights at WDW in August 2008. I went to Orlando for a conference in November 2008. While we were waiting with our group for dinner at Citrico's, I suggested we all go to Mizner's and enjoy a drink and the view. The male bartender that we got to know asked where my husband was! Strange and awesome, all at the same time!

Adults only?
Hands down no better choice...Jiko.
The service is outstanding. The waiters know the menu, can recommend a great wine to go with your meal, even if your a wine newbie.
The atmosphere is cool, relaxing yet classic.
The menu...wow, the best

oh and others will say Cal Grill. but that's only if you go well after fireworks. Untill then and a while after, it's overrun with kids. (it's disney, it's understandable) but it ruins the adults only feel of your meal.

Sorry to disagree with the pp, but adults only, hands down no better choice is V&A. Talk about a special PERFECT dinner with absolutely no kids even allowed!!! You definitely won't have a crying baby to interupt your dinner. Great wine, never a flaw in service and FANTASTIC food. You will not be disappointed!! You can go to Jiko with kids....but even though children over 10 are allowed, there is NO kids menu and in my 5 trips have never seen a child younger than 16 there. There is a dress code and fixed price and the price is worth every penny.
