Dining 180 + 10

We haven't needed to book dining at the 180 day mark since they started having us pre-pay for the DDP. We haven't added it to our reservations yet. Has anyone been able to book their dining for 180 +10 days with just their DVC reservation that hasn't had dining added to it yet?

Not having the DDP on your room reservation does not prevent one from making dining reservations at 180 days from check-in. The only issue is with dining events that require pre-payment. If the dining plan is not on the room reservation when the dining reservation was made, you would have to pay for the dining event with a credit card.

We were able to book our whole 12 night trip except departure day at 180 days from check-in.

As a Disney Resort Guest you can book up to 10 days worth of dining reservations beginning at 180 days from your check-in date.

I tried to do this a couple of weeks ago at the 180 day mark, and the dining reservation system did not recognize my DVC confirmation number. I just made the reservations daily. I could have called and had member services do my reservations, but I was too lazy to make that call.

Thats what I ended up doing. I did not have any really popular ADR's to make so did not bother calling as well.

In my case the system recognized my DVC reservation number, then all 190 days were able to be selected, then when I pressed enter it said I had to put in a reservation number and when I clicked on the place to put in the number it would tell me I already had it in the system and was all set. After a few roundabouts with it I gave up.

And even if you book a prepay required meal without Dining Plan, they will credit you back the prepayment to use the dining plan credit instead.
We had booked Cinderella's Castle at 180 days out & paid on my Visa, added dining plan just before the trip, and when we arrived for dinner explained & was issued a credit to the Visa and used dining credits instead.
