What is DING!® ?
DING! is a specially designed tool that brings live updates of southwest.com offers directly to your desktop, allowing you to get a jump on the latest southwest.com sales. In addition, the DING! application provides quick and easy access to popular southwest.com Travel Tools like Online Checkin and Flight Status! Using DING! can help you save time and money. Simply download and install this tool onto your computer (See system requirements) and start receiving exclusive offers instantly.
How DING! Works...
Once you install the application, an icon representing the Southwest Airlines plane tail will display in your system tray. This is the DING! icon and the display will confirm that the application was installed and is running on your computer.
When Southwest delivers a new message to your DING! application, you will hear an audible notification and an envelope will display over the DING! icon. This will be your indication that you have received an exciting offer from Southwest Airlines.
Click on the DING! icon in the status bar to display the exciting offers delivered to you. Also, at any time you can click on the icon to bring up the display window to refer back to the offer and/or navigate to some of the most popular tools on southwest.com.
The offers are usually only good for a few hours and have a limited number of seats. You only put in dates when you are going to book the seats like the offer is good for flights from July 1 to August 10 for example. To make it short... it is great, you will probably save money, download it right away!
