Ding and Windows Vista

I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask this, but... I just bought a new computer and it has Windows Vista... I tried installing Ding but I can't get it to work.

Has anyone else been able to run Ding with Vista?

I do not know how to fix the problem (turn off firewalls maybe? ) but I am running vista and have no problem with ding......I hope someone can help you out!

Thank you for the quick response... I tried turning off the firewalls and that didn't work.... at least now I know it's not a Vista problem... I'll keep working at it.

I don't have Vista but here's what I had to do last wk when my Ding wouldn't work.
1-- I uninstalled the Ding
2--send any thing about the Ding to the recycle bin and empty it.
3--I have Norton Security so I then had to disable Norton internet security.
4-- install the Ding again
5-- when done turn Security back on.

if this doesn't work I don't know what to do.

It took me 3 days asking on the Dis for help and we tried everything. Everybody was helpful and I just keep playing with there suggestions till we got this to work.
