Hi,

I'm considering doing Dine With Shamu when we visit in October.

Is it very good and worth the money etc?

We will want to go to the main shows on the day and I'm concerned DWS will clash with show times.

Also, do we get a time slot before we go or is it on the day only?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

We really enjoyed our experience at Dine With Shamu. You can read my full write up and see lots of photos in my Christmas trip report. Just click on the link in my signature....the Dine With Shamu portion begins on page 6 at post 82. We thought it was well worth the $29 pp and would definitely recommend it.

We selected our meal time at the time of booking, but I know there have been some changes to that procedure since we purchased our tickets for Christmas week way back in September. Perhaps someone else can weigh in on that.

All that said, if its a first visit for you and you only have one day, I would suggest you go with the all-day dining instead, just so you are not tied to a dinner reservation and can spend your time exploring and enjoying all the highlights of the park. The all-day dining is a great value with tons of excellent choices. When we did SW in December, we saved Dine With Shamu for our second day, once we got all the must-do's off the list. The first day, we had the all-day dining so we could just eat when and what we pleased.

Either way though, you can't go wrong :thumbsup2 . Dine With Shamu will take about 2 hours out of your day, from the time you check in until the time you are finished eating.

Thank you. Think we will give it a miss this time as we want to get the shows etc in. Thank you for the advice x

we have done it before and was well pleased with it, as much food as you can consume and drinks including beer, we have booked for this year as we are taking grqnd kids and they only have 1 time when I booked 4pm so could still see most things before dining
