dine with shamu seating

I just made my Dine with Shamu reservations for January. I read on another thread here that your table is assigned and based on when you made your reservation. But when I asked the guy on the phone if we'd be right by the water, he said to get in line, and we'd just get whatever table based on where we were in line. He said they're all close so it doesn't matter. I realize they're all close, but I'd still like to be as close as possible!!

Any ideas about why he gave me different information than what was posted here?

We booked Dine with Shamu the same day as we wanted to go, at the information desk in the park and they said, that our seats were based on when we booked, so it didn't matter what time we arrived at the show cause everyone had their seats already. When we got there they already knew where we had to sit, we couldn't choose. So unless they have changed the rules since March, then the guy you spoke to, gave you wrong info.
We didn't have the "good" seats, but we still had a great wiew.

We recently 'Dined with Shamu' on September 7th and were told that seating is allocated at the time of booking. We had good seats right by the water and had great views of the whale, however these were not good seats for getting in and out to visit the buffet. It seems to me that the tables are very close together which may be fine when they are empty, but when tables have people sitting at them, it can be a struggle to get in and out. Having said that, the experience is a good one and the food is good too!! Enjoy!

we where at it this year, booked quite a while ago and was told to get there early. Wer arrived around 4:00pm and where a lot of people there, as we got to go in i asked do we pick our seat, but the girl told us seats are assigned when you book.Apparently our booking was the second on her list and had a great seat.

we were just there a week ago and they had our table reserved already..too far away from the food..not to spoil but our experience was just ok-i hope yours is better

Me too! We booked it for my DD's November birthday, and booked back in the summer. I sure hope we have great seats!!
