There's an interesting article in today's New York Times about Barry Diller becoming the head of Universal's film and theme park operations:

Maybe this will mean there will be a USA Networks studio in CityWalk where they were planning an E! studio? Perhaps we'll some synergy between USA Networks and the parks, like the Disney-ABC connection? Hmmm.

And put in a Live studio at Citiwalk, ala all the morning news/infotainment programs. Also, it WOULD be nice to see the USA Network and Universal Tag Team in Full Force again. Although they still have ties, it seemed as if they had distanced themselves. But now, with Diller's interests(USA Network, Sci-Fi Channel, HSN, Expedia, Travel Reservation Network), "follow the money".
He would profit if he could work them into the Universal universe in a more prominent way. That ex-E! Studio, USA Network Studio replacement, COULD/should be added to Citiwalk. This deal could be the reason why something hasn't been added in it's place.
HAVE FUN

word reported on the public radio waves is that the french are not a bit happy about this appointment:smooth:
