Dilemma

Here's my situation. Soon to be hubby and I are going to Florida for Easter weekend. We have decided to go to Pleasure Island because it makes more sense to go when we are by ourselves than when we have the kids along. Part of my problem is, how can we possibly be that close to the parks without me begging to go to them? I have a feeling if I start this, he is going to nix next Junes trip. But on a more serious note, is there anything I should pick up while we are down there for next Junes trip?

Why not do just one day? So you can get a feel for the magic! And why would going one day nix the trip with the kids?

I couldn't be that close and not go. It about killed me living here for a month when we first reloacted and not be able to go. I would look at the Disney website and dream daily LOL

I don't know about things to buy, are you going June 06, or June 07. If you are going June 07 the 50th anniversary stuff will be gone, so maybe some of the those gold Mickey ears. Other then that I would wait till your trip as I would lose everything between now and then.

Have you considered annual passes? I don't know all of your details like how long you are planning to be there in the summer but... If you had annual passes then you could go the park for just one day and not feel like you have wasted a day that you would have used for the summer trip. Plus, you might can get a great discount on the room this summer if you are planning to stay onsite! It's not for everyone but, I like to look at all of my options. You might be surprised to find that you will save a lot of money in the future by spending a little extra now! (think about all the discounts that AP gives on merchandise, dining (with the DDE card), tours, rooms, ect...)

Just a thought!

I don't think that I could be that close to the magic and not go to the parks. I know that Pleasure Island and DTD are Disney but, it's just not the same!
