I have a table for 8 booked for Chef Mickey on Oct.7.... our family of 6 and our 2 friends.
Our friends can't make it as the wife gave birth to their baby girl 12 weeks too soon and she is in the NICU in Tampa. We will go and visit on the Saturday... baby is small but fiesty and holding her own.
I am scared that if I call and say that our friends can't make it, WDW will cancel our reservations and our kids will miss out. We go in 2 weeks and I was hardly able to book this 2 months ago as it is a busy weekend... Colombus Day.
Should I just go and tell them when we arrive that our friends can't come? Or should I call and chance losing the reservation?
Advice please?

I would just tell them when you get there how many you have. They probably wont even notice. I hear several people last week checking in with fewer people than were on their ADR. Chef Mickey's was a blast!! My kids loved it!

Just go, and tell them many when you check in. I had ADR's for an entire trip in May, and was not able to go due to DH's surgery. My DS23 and his fiance went without me, and had no trouble checking in as a party of two.

BTW, it's heartbreaking to miss a trip to Disney at the last minute...But I'll make up for it in 2 weeks!
