We're hoping to book a trip over New Year. Here are our three options:

December 29th-January 1st (3 nights)

Eurostar + Kyriad: £268 per person
Eurostar + Magic Circus: £302 per person
Eurostar + Hotel Cheyenne: £357 per person

What does everyone think? :confused3

We're AP holders so we do not need tickets (not that any of the packages include tickets anyway!). We've already stayed at both Magic Circus and Hotel Cheyenne so we'd be happy to go back to either. The lower price for the Kyriad is tempting but I'm not sure if we will like it.

Please advise!

Which AP's do you have (Dream or Fantasy)?

If it's Fantasy, I'd probably stay in the Cheyenne so that you can make use of EMH. I'm told the week between Christmas and New Years Eve is the busiest week at DLP.

Otherwise I'd probably go for the Magic Circus.

Think I'd choose the Magic Circus, not because I've stayed at any of your choices but because it looks like a higher quality hotel:goodvibes

Tough one, I was going to say I'd do Kyriad and keep the extra pennies, but with such a small difference between that and Magic Circus I'd be tempted by the better hotel! What about Dream Castle? I really fancy staying there sometime.
I was going to go for Kyriad for our June trip, but am now opting for Cheyenne. However, if there was such a big price difference for our dates I'd never choose Cheyenne over the offsite ones.
Sorry that's probably not helpful at all :rotfl:

Thanks guys. It's definitely a tough one! We loved the Cheyenne when we stayed there last year and the fact that it's not that much more expensive than Magic Circus makes it seem very appealing. Also, we've already stayed at Magic Circus three times this year...

Well, once I would always have said Magic Circus over the Kyriad but a few people have been to the Kyriad lately and been very pleased. Unless you think you'll want a swim then I'd suggest giving it a try ~ if you don't like it at least you'll know for another time.

Ive stayed at all 3 and out of the Magic Circus and Kyriad was more impressed with Kyriad. The rooms were nice and light and airy and the staff were very helpful.
One thing I dont like about the Magic Circus is the bar area /reception area- its so large and formal- its more like a airport waiting area to me - just doesnt feel relaxing.

One advantage of the Cheyenne will be that you can walk to and from the parks as it will be very busy

Yeah, the recent reviews of the Kyriad have been quite good. It definitely sounds like it's worth a try, plus the free WiFi is a bonus!

Would you say the Kyriad has a 'cosier' feel to it? Being able to walk to and from the Cheyenne is its biggest advantage I think.

I have never stayed in any of these but just thinking about it staying in the Cheyenne may be a bit more festive feeling?? could be way off base there but just my thoughts and the walking distance is a great bonus.

i have only ever stayed on site so would prob choose the cheyanne, but then every penny counts so i would probably go for the cheapest unless you plan to spend alot of time at the hotel and then i would go for the nicest. not much help really but i love the feeling of staying on site, plus as the parks and buses will probably be busy you would be able to walk back to the cheyanne so wouldnt have any bus ques and pushing so again the cheyanne would win for me.

The Cheyenne went up to £370 per person, which is a bit much really. We have gone with Magic Circus. It's nice, familiar and DBF loves the breakfast there!
