Technically, you wouldn't need a golf cart, as there is ample internal bus transportation. We never had a problem with the internal buses, and we saw lots of families with young ones. We never had to wait for long for a bus to show up, and the cabin was really nice and peaceful (no neighbors flushing toilets, no stomping down the hallway, our car was right outside, etc.)
(That said, I would still go with the Poly)
If you were traveling with one child I'd say Poly, all the way. BUT for a family of six.... For the money you save staying at the cabins, have you thought of a rental car (IDK if you were planning on that)? You can park right outside the cabin. We went as a family of 7 (one infant) and I have to say I would do that again in a heartbeat! The monorail is great, but the privacy and walking right into the cabin from the car like it's your own home was great with the 5 kids (esp. a sleeping little one). The Poly might be tight with the kids and a crib/pack and play. If it's all about location, and going deluxe.....Poly of course. Tough choice for me. Good luck!

. The rooms are huge, every room comes with a daybed, the beach is very convenient for watching the fireworks with a short walk back to your room without fighting crowds, the volcano pool is alot of fun, you have a dead on view of the castle while swimming, and the tropical atmosphere is very beautiful and relaxing
. Plus the monorail will be very convenient with the little one

What did you decide??
