Dilemma!! a bit long sorry.

That was a nightmare for you but at least you still managed to go. Shocking the prices went up like that though.

I hope you get booked up as I know how frustrating it must be wanting to just book it up but having to hang back. I'd keep talking about it and find all the good points you can about flying with Virgin compared to FC (if there is any).

The Food and Wine Festival is on at that time of the year which is an added bonus.:goodvibes

The FC flight in the premium seats was fantastic outbound, and the crew were fab too we had bulkhead seats on outbound but on the way back the crew were horrible except 1 guy who was really funny, its more the travel back thats the problem this time as its on the tuesday and we would have to go back to work/school on the wednesday, the cost is a lot more too which i feel would pay for half the theme park passes too. there are so many people that fly with virgin so they cant be all that bad.

I think Virgin are really good and have no complaints whatsoever about them. We have never sat in Premium seats with any airline so cannot compare but I firmly believe that once you raise the bar it is difficult to move it back down so I can understand why your hubbie wants the better seats. However, the cost is a totally justifiable reason to go with the cheaper seats.

On Virgin planes the best thing is your get the 2 x 23 kg each which is very generous compared to a lot of chartered airlines. You have the seat back entertainment, a free drink and snacks when you have just taken off, meal with free drinks, ice cream then tea. The pitch is bigger than a lot of chartered flights in the economy size.
