This is my thread for the cruise I'm going on with my siblings in Oct. This lady was showing us the clothes she MADE, made people, for her girls. I have never seen anything so amazing and cool and neat in all my life. I was totally blown away. I wish she would adopt me. Or at least teach me some of those skills. Y'all have GOT to see it.

OMg.. those are sooooo beautiful!!!! I so wish i could sew!! And I don't think 30-anything is too old for those dresses!!! LOL -- I will wear one if you do! LOL But, i don't think we could run 13 miles in it!!

We are charging up our computer batteries tomorrow in preparation for a possible hurricane. So funny school goes back on Monday and it looks like it will be cancelled on Tuesday. We figure that if we lose our power I can sit and work on LOs since we will be stuck at home. We are hoping it will turn away, but if not I may of lots of LO's to show at the end of the week.

Wow Michelle -- stay safe. Hope the hurricane turns away..... Yikes! Since I've lived in CA most of my life, I can't fathom what it must be like to live in parts of the country where you have to worry about hurricanes and tornados and such.

Now I must go back to tracking my brother's plane to Phoenix online. I can't go to bed until I know he has landed safely. He was supposed to get in at 8:40ish (Arizona time), but his flight was delayed about an hour and a half. He is currently over New Mexico almost into Arizona.

See that's funny, b/c living in the New England area,i would rather deal with blizzards, hurricanes and whatever, but i can't imagine dealing with an earthquake!! As least hurricanes can be tracked, and give plenty of time to get ready and get to a safe place.. Michelle,hope all passes by you!!

This is my first time posting something on this thread! I've been thoroughly enjoying everyone's LOs. What a talented bunch of people are here on the DIS!

Here's my first LO for here. I was inspired by the "golden" Visa ads that have been shown on the Olympics. I'm not sure if I'm done with it yet since I like to tweak things until they're dead , but here it is:

Most of the stuff is Creative Memories.
The sparkle and swirls belong to a wonderful designer out there - I didn't write down the name when I downloaded her stuff. (Oops - sorry!)
The "crinkle" paper is Shabby Princess, Harvest kit.
Font is Chocolate Box

inxs did a concert here, it was fairly entertaining, dragged dd who I think was 12... she didn't appreciate it. (how can you not like inxs? ) just found the pics on my computer (never actually printed them, shocking I know )
