I recently puchase SBC+ and have loved it so far! I am trying to add in some of the disney clip art that I find on the web....but how do you get rid of the white box around the image? I have tried saving, right clicking and copying but it still puts the white box around the edge! Please help! TIA

I just asked the same question this week, too. The answer I received was to use the Wand Tool to remove it. Well, I'm not that good at it and I have saved way too much content, it would take me forever! If you head over to the Creative DISigns thread, there are plenty of DISigners with wonderful Disney clip art in their photobucket-type accounts. I have picked up a lot without the white square, you just have to find them.

I also just figured out how to save them as content. Did you?

Thanks for the info! I will try the wand....No I have not figured out how to save as content...everything I have is saved as photos! Any tips you have would be greatly appreciated!

Where did you find your clip art?? I've downloaded pretty regularly from Disneyclips.com and haven't had any problem with the white square. Usually they'll download as a GIF or PNG file...if it downloads as a JPEG it will include the background.

That may help you pick and choose what you download.

To save as content in SBC+3.0
1. Click on the little storybook on top left hand corner of screen
2. select 'Content manager'
3. near the top of the ribbon on the left... select 'create'
4. Create a 'New Folder' for the Disney Clipart, you may want to just call it 'DisneyClipart' or something like that
5. Click 'create' again
6. Now we are going to create a 'Content package' You can have as many content packages as you want under a specific folder and can change the names later if needed... you can make a folder for each site you download from(ie Disneyclips) or for each character, or general (ie. princesses, fab5) whatever makes the most sense to you. Make sure that the 'folder' listed in the prompt box is the one you want the package in....if not, scroll and change it!
7. once you have your folder(s) and package(s) set up... it's time to load inall your goodies!
8. open the content package that you want to add things to by clicking on it
9. For paper (usually all jpeg files) it will go in the tab marked paper... cliparts (files marked GIF or PNG) will go in the embellishments tab
10. to add your clip art... open the embellishments tab
11. then up at the top of your screen...theres a ribbon... select embellishment.
12. now just search your files for what you want to add to the folder, click on it, and then hit 'get images' You can select multiple images by holding down the Ctrl key as you click

thats it! It seems like a lot of steps... but once you have the folders/pkgs set up... you just add to them, so then it goes really quickly!

You'll notice too... that on the right side of the content manager screen, theres a keyword adder. Once you have your stuff in the folders, you can select each one and add keywords (Christmas, Mickey, word art..etc) so that you can find things quicker! I wish I would have known about that in the beginning.... I have been adding keywords to things... but I have thousands of papers and embellies now. It would have been easier to add as I went from the beginning!

later to find things using the keywords.... when you are working on your pages, select package on the right side ribbon, as usual.... then at the bottom, click search by keyword. you'll get a prompt box and once you enter a keyword such as 'Mickey' ... it will pull up everything you've added and attatched that word to. Its a slick little tool.... and the more stuff you collect, the happier you'll be that you added keywords!!

hope that helps!
If you have any more ???s please ask!
