Digital DVC Card - displaying with the info

This has been driving me nuts. I am hoping this post helps someone like me avoid this in the future.

I followed all the instructions to setup my DVC Card on my iPhone. One simple item caused lots of frustration trying to get the card to display with all the information since everyone said when it appears just look for the little (i) and hit it.

Well I never saw that little (i) due to my error. The DVC card was set up correctly. The issue was how I accessed my Apple Wallet.

Anytime I ever access the Apple Wallet I just double click the power button then select the card I want. When doing that with the DVC card, it went into scan mode. It never appeared with the (i). I assume this is because the digital card is doing double duty and trying to scan for another purpose.

What likely seemed obvious to many others is I was accessing the Apple Wallet the wrong way. I needed to use the actual Apple Wallet icon on the phone to select the card that would display the (i) for information. I think you can also weave your way through the settings menu to get to the same place. I had forgotten there even was a Wallet icon since everything else works just fine using the power button shortcut. Double clicking the power button was the wrong way.

Yes - double clicking the side button pulls up a payment card that’s ready to be scanned. It took me a while to figure that out, too!

Does anyone know why my wife's membership card does not say DVC ND it just says DVC, ANNUAL. Mine says ND, maybe because we are both on the membership?

Both of you need your own DVC and MDE account set up.

So, if she has not yet set up her own DVC login, that is why.
This would be why, thank you, I dont even think she has the app. Not that it really matters but was just wondering why the difference 😅

Whats weird is we let our APs expire over a year ago and my card still shows Annual as if we have an AP at this point. We haven't been in the parks yet but do have tickets loaded.

I even created a new card in a separate account and loading brand new it still shows Annual. Wonder if it will disappear when we finally enter the park again with our new 14 day tickets instead.

That's not a bad problem to have, go get that discount 🤣🤣

Mine does too…but the CMs told me that for the AP, you actually have to bring up the actual picture of your AP in MDE.

Maybe this is why we see inconsistent enforcement since DVC is supposed to show the back of the card in wallet and AP from MDE?

Ours expired over a year ago, and we used regular park hopper tickets for our visit in January, and my card still shows Annual too!
