Tonight we purchased a new digital camera that uses Secure Digital memory cards. Here are my questions:

What is the best brand?

Is there a quality difference between the brands?

Where can I get the best deal on the cards?

Thank you for any info you can provide!

Any pics we are happy with will be saved to a CD and possibly printed so we will not be using the cards for any long term storage.

Edited to add: Anyone have info on Viking brand? I've found a good deal on a Viking 256MB card and was wondering if the brand is worth anything.

See.. there you go again being the sweetheart that you are :-) See the if you cant say something nice post :p

I have used Viking and never had a problem. I also use SanDisk but I know Viking has some great deals especially with rebates so I wouldn't hesitate to buy them. I know my brother uses Lexar as well and thinks they are fine (but I will admit seem to be a little more expensive). I agree with Dan's suggestions and sometimes though I find them for a little cheaper at amazon.com depending on the shipping costs. Enjoy your new camera :)

THANKS!

I really appreciate you all taking the time to reply!

My sisters are going to Scotland in two weeks and I'm going to let them borrow my camera. They are so excited!!!
