Digital camera info please

Hi All,

I just purchased a 256mb card for my Fuji camera. Can anyone tell me approx. how many photos I can fit on the card at the medium quality setting? I have an older camera that is 2 megapixel.

Not sure how many will fit but I would recommend taking the pictures at the highest setting. If you are going to WDW I would suggest another card or two.

I also have a Fuji camera (4900). I'm not exactly sure what resolution the medium setting is, but when I am using the 1200x???? setting (sorry for the vaguness here) I can usually get approx. 100 pictures per 128 mb card. These pictures come out to about 1 mb per picture.

So using this logic, you should be able to get a minimum of 225 pictures per card.

I have a Fuji Finepix 2800 and it is only 2 mp. On the normal 1 megapixel setting you can get 398 photos on 1 128 mb card. So with 256mb you should get almost 800. You should be able to see how many photos your camera will take once you insert the new card and look in the viewfinder. It will show how many shots you have left.
I generally take photos on the VGA setting since many of my photos are online. It gives me about 1000 on 1 128mb card.

I'd try and look it up in my manual if only I could find it.

So if I leave it on the medium setting, which I believe is the 1m setting, would it be clear enough to print 4X6 photos?

It should be. Try a few shots at different settings and have them printed, then go from there.

The Fuji site may have the manuals, or, perhaps they can send you one. Which one do you have?

I was thinking of purchasing a new camera but then I remembered that we are already over budget for our upcoming trip plus the one that I have still works good. It is the Finepix 2650. I think that I must have thrown away the manual by mistake.

I think if I can get a couple hundred of photos on the 256mb card, I should be okay with just getting one more card.

I'll also try and go to the Fuji site to and request a manual. Hopefully they can send me one.

At thge highest res on my 3.2M camera I got over 200 photos, so I'm sure you can get about 300.
