Hooray!! We have a new digital camera. Picked out the Canon Power Shot A-70!

My question on batteries is this... I intended to get the NiMH rechargable batteries and charger. The Canon instruction booklet says to "use AA-size alkaline or Canon AA-size NiMH batteries only."

Should I really use the Canon or are the NiMH through Thomas distributing (Maha C-204 the ones Zurg recommends!!) safe to use?

Thanks for any advice.

Laura

Hi we have a olympus e-10 digital camera and use the NiMH that we got from Thomas distributing over 2 yrs ago.

We got like 20 of them to run the camera and the kids game boys and they work great the e-10 holds 4 of them and I can get around 40 to 50 pics with just 4 batteries.
I pack like 8 batteries when we go to the parks from the room
and I find that I allways run out of room on the disks befor I run out of batteries.

we have a new kodak digital easyshare camera and just bought the energizer rechargable batteries 4 plus charger at Target for $19.95. They are the NImh ones nickel hydride

Just got them so I am not sure if we'll like them or not

I would get the Maha "MH-C401FS 100 Minute Cool Charger"

It charges each battery independant of the others.

Don't use alkaline batteries unless it is an emergancey - they die fast, cost more in the long run and get tossed out.

I am sure they would like you to use a canon printer with canon inc and canon paper and a canon PC too but it doesn't make any differance if you do or not.
