I do not think that is a printer dock. It looks like a regular photo printer. It has card readers, so the card can be removed from the camera and inserted in the printer. Any reasons for that particular camera?

The short answer is, no. A Kodak camera requires the dock to be Kodak dock, and HP cameras require HP docks.

But, what you have linked here is a printer. You should be able to use the print function by placing the SD memory card into the printer and printing from there.

My recommendation, if you decide to get a dock, is to either go with all Kodak or all HP. Even then, look at the camera specifications and ensure you buy the specific optional dock mentioned.

Also, if you have a computer, then you can buy pretty much any photo printer (it does not need to be a dock) and use your PC to print the pictures. This is a more powerful option, allowing you to edit the pictures before you print. Using a direct camera to photo solution, such as the combination you are looking at, allows little if any editing.

If you have a Best Buy nearby, drop in and they can show you how it all works.

So if I get the printer and not a dock, I can print directly from the memory card and it won't really matter if the camera is an HP or not? I'm sorry to be so ignorant!

personally, if it were me, and if you have a walmart nearby, I'd put the 149 towards a better camera, and let her upload her pics to walmart for printing, that printer will only do 4x6's, and if printing large quantities a photo lab will be more cost effective...

I own a very good photo printer and rarely use it, it's so much easier and faster to send my pics to walmart, or to www.mpix.com for my more serious/professional stuff..
