Can anyone tell me if the airport security screening machines will cause problems for pics on my digital camera compact flash cards, or should I remove them from items to be scanned? Thanks. I just wanted to know before I let a whole vacation of pics be zapped into oblivion.

just confirming again, no probs with digi's. Only with high ISO film.

No problem with digitals or memory cards. Even though they say be carefull with the film, nothings gone wrong with our film either.

Here's a tip. Have all of your electronic equipment (i.e. cameras, discmen, laptops, etc.) out of your carry-on luggage when you get to security to make the process faster. They now require you to take out your electronic equipment and put it in a separate bin from your carry on luggage. Often they will swab your laptops and whatnot for "bomb ingredients".

No need to take the camera out of the case. In all my travels since 9/11 never had a problem with cell phone or camera in my computer case. Yes take the computer out and put in a bin.
