Just thought I'd throw this one out for a little Friday night excitement.
Tonight I carried out from Panera. I got one of their new Crispani pizzas. It was a sausage and apple pizza. I got it home and, lo and behold, there was no sausage on it (another story). So, I basically had a cheese, onion and apple pizza. It is very thin crusted, not much cheese, very light.
Within 20 minutes of finishing this pizza, my lower intestines started to rumble. In another 10 minutes, I was "in the loo" so to speak and it wasn't pretty. Have been back in there 2 more times.
Now, I know that this isn't food poisoning but some sort of sensitivity. But, dang, I can't figure it out. What has me so puzzled is that this used to happen to me many years ago when I would go to Pizzeria Uno. I went there 3 times and barely ever made it home from the restaurant. I finally stopped going. Never figured out what it was. Either some type of cheese or some spice that causes this reaction. I can eat other pizzas just fine.
Oh, and I have eaten a Crispani before. Shared one with my DD about 2 weeks ago, but it was just the white (cheese) one.
So any ideas what this could be? Maybe a preservative on the apples. Just weird.
