Different wait times in MDE app in the evenings.

I was in the parks a couple times this week and I found the app is grossly overstating the wait times since the last update at night. Rides that are walk on were showing 30+ minute waits on the app. Even peter pan had longer than 7dmt at 50 minutes but only 10 on the sign when I stood there comparing the two..

On the other hand, the signs do seem to show the time more accurate now.

I think they shifted to using the app to help crowd control and get some people to think twice before running to a few rides after night entertainment or walk all the way across the park for 1 last ride.

To be fair, this was also one of the 8pm close nights where cast members quickly ushered everyone out after fireworks so it might have been someone rented the place and they wanted to keep the crowd even lower for exit time. I hate crowd control sometimes.

Funny you say this, as I have been keeping an eye on the wait times from home - upcoming trip in 13 days!! I was thinking that the wait times seemed high, but without being there, it was hard to gauge accuracy. Interesting. I have always figured there were some tricks played with the posted wait times though. I like to use the Lines app AND MDE when I am in the parks. I like to compare what each says, and usually assume somewhere in between for the actual waits!
