I had read on some previous thread that Bonine was good, but the one I saw at my drug store, said not for children under 12, so I ended up buying Dramamine chewables for children/adults, but they say they will make you drowsy! Then I thought about the seabands, but my 5 yr olds wrists are so tiny, they probably wouldn't work! Any advice?

Pediatricians often recommend Benadryl for children with motion sickness-although it seems that Benadryl will make a child equally as drowsy...

Unless you know your child has a proclivity toward motion sickness, I would not worry about it - children are much less likely to feel the motion of the ship than adults...

For the adults in your party, Bonine or Dramamine II are excellent and dont make you drowsy

My best advice - talk to your family doctor and/or pediatrician.

Sea Bands are the only product that I will recommend wihtout medical advice. But Bonine, Dramamine (even the less drowsy type), and patches should be used after consulting a doctor (heard about a woman using patches that passed out because she was on high blood pressure meds and the patches caused her blood pressure to drop to almost nothing).
