Hello all! Does anyone know if you're allowed to have a different number of people at the ceremony than you do at the reception? If so, which number counts as the official headcount for Custom v. Intimate?

With the intimate being so short in time and the ceremony and mini-reception occurring at the same site (except for the WP), I would imagine you would have to have the same number of guests at both. Don't know for sure about the custom. It seems like they let you plan almost anything, for a price!

i wouldnt recommend that, anyones whos invited to florida & spends all that money travelling should be included in the ceremony not just the reception afterwards.

as for intimates the number has to be the same, the intimate is a package for 20 or less period. with the custom weddings they can vary for instance we have some kids who will be with a sitter during the ceremony but will be running wild at the reception.

Well, we live in Florida and so do some of the Grandparents. (They live fairly close to WDW, actually.) They don't like sitting outside in the "elements" (i.e. - heat). :sunny: So I just figured I'd ask.

Thanks for the feedback guys. I know it's an odd sort of question, lol. ::yes::

ohhhh, i see. well the one thing with the intimates at all of the locations the cake & champagne reception is held outside. although the wedding pavilion one is hosted at the grand floridian on a covered patio. you could provide fans or a parasols for the heat/sun. you could also plan your own dinner or meal afterwards at one of the restaurants on your own though. fyi youre not allowed to wear your wedding dress inside the themeparks so you would have to stay at a resort restaurant.

not sure of your budget but custom weddings really do have more options overall. best of luck.

Here is the thing. You have to spend so much per person. No matter if they come just to the cermony or not based on your reception place/requirements. (ie we could not have a ceremony with guests and then just have a dessert party to decrease expenses.) We had to have a reception in order to meet the per guest minimum. If you do a dessert party or any catered food that day(I think on the food that day part) it will count towards that total amount.
