We just got out planning packet. The beers that are listed are Bud light, Heinekin, Michelob Ultra, and Corona. The problem is we don't drink any of these...as a matter of fact we drink pretty much anything BUT these.:confused3 Has anyone had any success getting different beers? Miller lite and Yeungling are the two biggies we would want. Thanks!

A great many different types, or styles, of beer are brewed across the globe. The greatest diversity of flavors and types of beer can be found in Belgium, as is portrayed by its Belgian beer and lambic and other beer styles.I usually drink Keystone light.Occasionally I will have a Keystone ICE and I have had Natural Ice a time or two.I personally prefer the Keystone.

I'm pretty sure you would be able to get other beers, you might just have to pay some sort of premium price. They probably would have to be beers that are offered somewhere on property however (think the countries in EPCOT)...

Just ask your planner! You never know what they can do for you unless you ask. I was able to get the Grand Marnier Slushie from France at my DP even though I had not heard of anyone else doing it. I really thought the answer was going to be "no" but it was a "yes" and we were so glad to have it at our DP!

we need Yuengling and Miller too! I hate everything else! hehe

So, it's good to know there's hope! I think I remember seeing somewhere that you can have those at premium price if offered in the parks somewhere...so I am going to put that on my list of questions for my planner as well! I will report back if I get an answer soon! :thumbsup2

That Grand Marnier Slushie sounds like an excellent idea...I might have to adopt it...

I read somewhere after I posted that if you request something that is not a part of their regular "core list" you basically pay for anything that is used in part and a 30% handling fee...so thats on our list of questions for the planning session but let me know what answer you get because our session isn't til January! lol

We wanted a special beer - Carlsberg from Norway in Epcot. We could get it but we had to purchase a case on top of paying for the regular bar package. We could then take what was left with us back to the hotel. As there were only two beer drinkers in our small wedding party we decided not to and they drank one of the beers in the package. If we were larger I would have paid the extra.

Now keep in mind that Carlsberg is not a common beer so I recomend asking your planner if it is possible to add the beers that you want. Do you know if they even serve the ones you want anywhere on Disney property? They may not have an agreement/contract with the company that supplies those beers. If not then you probably can't get them. You could also ask if you can bring in these beers yourself and what the fee would be to do that.

If they do have them on Disney property then you may need to be willing to purchase a case or two depending on the size of your party.

I know I've read it somewhere, and I'm pretty sure it's actually on the planning list that includes beverages, that yes you can request any specific drink.

Have a read through of the fine print and I'm pretty sure you should find it.

I'm not too impressed with the beer offerings either. And the majority of our guests, including me and DF, are beer drinkers.Their offerings seem like kind of weird choices to me. You would think Miller would deff. be an option, and also some sort of darker beer. I can't think of one person who will be at our wedding who like Mich Ultra!
