So Im curious, what is different in the park between the 50th and non-50th celebration? I went to disneyland when I was a kid and fantasmic was the same, however thats all I can remember back then. Now all I notice is the golden 50 mickeys around the park, is that the only thing that was changed or is there more that Im missing?

1. Yes, there are the "hidden" and not so "hidden" Mickeys with a "50" inside. And there are 50 of them. Some are a bit hard to find.

2. There are special "golden" vehicles on rides. Such as Dumbo has one golden Dumbo. These will go away after the 50th

3. There is the incredible Remember Dreams Come True fireworks show which (rumor has it) will be around until Feb 2007 and then go away

4. Forgot this one - they have the collages up made up of pix people sent in.

5. Thought of still one more - at the theater near the DL entrance where Mr. Lincoln used to reside (and may again one day) they have historical DL displays of different park concepts and a really good 20 minute movie on DisneyLand: First 50 Years. The movie is narrated by Steve Martin, and he is accompanied onscreen by an animated Donald Duck. Steve Martin worked at the DL Magic Shop when he was a teenager and does an excellent job. If Disney history appeals to you, this is a must see.

I wouldn't bee surprised if the "Remember,..." fireworks stay around for awhile. Everyone I hear from says they are awesome!
