Ok, so call me naive but I have been following this blog regularly for the last several weeks since we planned our upcoming trip in September and I am confused on the differences between a MM and an EMH?

I actually thought the two were the same thing with interchangeable names. I am guessing one is for folks staying in the bubble and the other is for those buying multi day passes? Can you fill me in on the differences between the two?

This is our first DLR trip with our two boys (ages 7 and 5) and we are staying at the HoJo. I am guessing if we do three pay park hoppers we wil get access to one but not sure which one it is or what you can and can't do. Thanks!

Magic Morning is what they call it for Disneyland park, opening one hour earlier on Tuesday, Thursdays, and Saturdays for those who are staying onsite, and those who have special parkhopper tickets that come with it. (If you buy a parkhopper ticket of 3 days or more ahead of time, it comes with one Magic Morning you can use at Disneyland. Some package deals, like from Costco, also get you a Magic Morning Day with a parkhopper.) It's a bit of a holdover from 8-10 years ago, when that's the only extra hour that was available at Disneyland-- no early entry for California Adventure at all, in those days. It also distinguished it from WDW, which called them "Extra Magic Hours" and all the parks there had them, and some of them are held in the evening as "Stay later one hour".

Then when CA got the big refurbishiment and Carsland and all, they decided to do early entry for that on the opposite days, Monday, Wed., Fri and Sunday, but call it Extra Magic Hour like WDW does. And the difference there, is that you can't get it through a parkhopper or anything-- you can only get entrance to CA early if you are staying onsite at one of the three Disney Hotels.

Sometimes the whole deal is referred to as EE, Early Entry, as a lump term that covers Magic Morning and Extra Magic Hours.

Hope that helps? :)

Perfect! Thank you so much!

You're going to have such a great time! Your boys will love the water playground at HoJo. It's a really nice place to stay!

Avalon451 is correct except for the terminology as used on the Disney website. EMH is used for early admission for those staying onsite at any of the three Resort hotels. For DCA Sun, Mon, Wed and Fri. For DL , days with the letter T in it, Sat. Tue, and Thur. which are also the MM days for multiday Park Hoppers that are bought in advance. Can`t get MM on park hoppers sold at the Disney ticket booths. There are special ocassions when EMH is offered on different days and I believe during Christmas week EMH is everyday.
