Differences between Dollar and Alamo

I used Alamo for our August trip to Disney and everything was great. $281 for a full sized suv for 10 days.

For our upcoming trip 11/30 - 12/10 I haven't been able to find a decent price but I the other day I found a Dollar midsize car at $264 which is decent compared to the other companies.

My concern is I never see anything on the boards about Dollar rental car. Does anyone have any experience with them? Or do you think I should spend the extra $50 and stay with Alamo?

We have used Dollar on quite a few occasions. Never a problem
The counter agents are usually friendly and don't push the insurance hard. At least that is my experience. Their line was a lot shorter than Alamo's this past May. We have had good luck with their cars too. Seem new and not beat up like I have experienced with other companies.

excellent cars and service.

I had a problem once - I wanted the economy model and the guy kept trying to get me to up grade. after saying 'no' about 3 times. He gave it.

well when I went to get the car - the problem was they were out of economy and it as probably mid size that I had to take.
