Can someone explain to me the differences/benefits of booking a package vs a room only? We booked through Disney and they booked us as room only. I understand the one difference is cancellation and payment policies, but is the discount bigger for one than the other? Also, we booked the AAA rate.

Thanks!!!

In the past, before Magic Your Way, when you got a package, the tickets that came with were the Ultimate Park Hoppers..AKA EXPENSIVE! So, it was always much less expensive to get the room and tickets seperate.

Now though, the packages don't cost any more than booking them seperate. The advantage to getting a package is you can add the Dining Plan if you want.

Thanks, the dining package is the key. I just wanted to make sure I was getting the most Disney for my buck!!

Here is a question for all of you experts on this new MYW program. We are AP holders and will be traveling this June for 10 nights. We are bringing my sister on this trip, who IS NOT an AP holder. Can we book a "package" for room plus her ticket and be able to add on dining plan for all of us, or would we have to be purchasing tickets for ALL of us to do this? The dining program would be awesome for us....I like having everything paid for in advance and now that the vouchers have been phased out, I would love that. OR....is it just less expensive to put the whole thing together in pieces, which is fine, since I am a planning fool? LOL Thanks for your input.
