Hey all-

This might seem like nit picky stuff, but hear me out.

My mother had a stroke in december, and we had planned a big trip for her, myself and my 8 year old daughter as a christmas gift. We were still able to go in feb, but it was pretty stressful and hard on my kiddo, understandably.

So I'm taking her back this year, just me and her.

We missed a lot, and this time she is involved in planning, and she already has big plans... but she cant decide between middle jan after the marathon or early feb.

Any info between the two is greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

Our favorite time to go! We like to be heading home by the end of the first weekend in February. Crowd levels creep up a little after that, but still mostly below average. I have heard that Mardi Gras affects attendance some. February 13, 2018. Weather is unpredicable any of those weeks.

We were there from Feb. 5 - 9 this year and had a wonderful time. The weather was perfect and still warm enough to enjoy the pools. The crowds were very reasonable. Park hours were a bit more limited than other times of the year but I'm not sure how they will compare to January. Also, being from the Midwest, going to Florida in February is sooo nice! We left Orlando when it was 86F, when we landed in Ohio it was 19F

I don't think there's a major difference unless there's a special event going on. We were there Jan 30-Feb 5 and it was great. We did need jackets in the morning and evening, and there was only one day warm enough for the kids to jump in the pool, but we liked it and would go again. I know people that have gone that time and were able to swim every day, so I guess we just got unlucky! Have fun!
