Difference between Diet Coke and Coke Zero?

A friend of mine toured a coke factory and they told her that Coke Zero had twice the aspartame that diet coke does Not sure if its true after reading that it has 2 sweeteners. I drink Diet Coke. Always have always will

Funny but I dislike all Coke except Coke Zero. I think that Coke Zero is real good but I can't stand Diet Coke or regular Coke.

I just wish that they'd make a Vanilla Coke Zero. I'm not a fan of cherry flavored colas.

Buy a bottle of vanilla syrup (in the coffee aisle) and make your own. Much better than the bottled/canned stuff. We do this w/ cherry and vanilla soda.

Remember those, "Just for the taste of it..." Diet Coke commercials? Diet Coke has its own taste, and far better than Coke (Coke Zero) IMHO.

If you want to go to heaven & back, try Cherry Coke Zero. It is devine to say the least.

I have also noticed that Diet Coke in Europe tastes better than it does here. I have not been able to find out why, but subjectively it does.

I'm a diehard Classic Coke fan. Always have been.

I don't know how or why Diet Coke and Coke Zero are different but I LOVE LOVE LOVE Coke Zero!

I've never liked Diet Coke or any diet sodas for that matter but Coke Zero converted me. I'm so glad I gave diet drinks a second chance. I'm also very glad they now have other 'zeros' like Sprite Zero and Fanta Orange Zero. I'm just waiting on Fanta Grape Zero.

To me, this makes sense. Diet Pepsi tastes much sweeter to me than Diet Coke. Diet Coke seems more carbonated than Diet Pepsi. Since others have said that Coke Zero tastes more like Coke (sweeter than Diet Coke), it makes sense that a Diet Pepsi drinker would like Coke Zero more than a Diet Coke lover.

I don't care for any diet drinks. They leave a bad aftertaste in my mouth. I drink regular coke but haven't tried Coke Zero. I've noticed in the last couple of months that the Coke I buy seems to have a slightly different taste. Anyone noticed that?

I have also noticed that Diet Coke in Europe tastes better than it does here. I have not been able to find out why, but subjectively it does.

It may just be where it's made. The Dr. Pepper you buy here locally tastes different than the Dublin DP you buy in Dublin, TX. Why? I have not a clue.

Diet coke has an unpleasant taste to it but I do like coke zero. I tried root beer in Wolfgang Puck and it was horrible!!!!!!!!

My kids (12 and almost 10) won't drink Diet Coke, but love Diet Dr. Pepper. I keep Diet Coke at home, but Diet Dr. Pepper in my mini-fridge at school. That way, if I have to work a little late (they come to my room when they get out of school), I don't have to come up with change for the drink machines!

Planogirl - you are in luck - they do make Vanilla Coke Zero it is DHs favorite, Me...I prefer Diet Coke.

As to Vanilla Coke Zero - not all stores stock it - here in NH Walmart and two major grocery chains (Hannaford and Market Basket) do not typically carry Vanilla Zero but Shaw's (another major grocery store in New england) does carry Vanilla Zero. They may only have 4 Vanilla 12 packs on hand at any given time but they do make it.

At the very least get yourself a 20 oz at a convenience store so you can try the vanilla - I don't personally like it but DH says it is the best.

Am I the only one that thinks that regular Coke zero tastes like cinnamon? Hubby tells me I'm crazy but it just think it is bleh....

coke zero is made in space. zero stands for zero gravity. that is why it tastes so difference. the effervescence of zero gravity carbonation is the key.
