Difference between ADR & PS?

Hi, All!

I'm sorry - I'm sure that this has been asked a million times (I did look it up in a search and was given so many threads to wade through, I thought that my DIS friends might not mind answering this question just one more time... ):

Is there a difference between an ADR and a PS? I haven't been on the DIS in a while and am planning an upcoming trip... I know what it means - and have even made a few - but is it more "firm" than a PS or something?

Same thing, a while back they chagned the verbage, that's all. I think it had a lot to do with most guests not understanding what a "priority seating" was, but everyday know what a "reservation" is.

I also think that if you are a Disney resort guest you can book all your ADR on the first day of your 180 days out, instead of having to call everyday for 5-10 days etc...to book your dining plans for each day you are there.

ADR and PS are the same thing. Disney changes things frequently to confuse people.

After years of saying PS's it now ADR. Only difference is now you can call 180 day out instead of 90. Too confusing. It still a seating time over walk-in, that you may still have to wait for.

The term Priority Seating made sense. "Advance Dining Reservation"?
Aren't all reservations made in advance? This must have come from the WDW Disney World Department of Redundancy Department.
