Difference between a deluxe studio and a value studio at AKL

HI!

My DS , DDIL and DGD5 and DGD2 are looking at staying in the AKL Jambo house for a night in November. They are wondering about the difference between the two studios (deluxe vs value)? Size, views amenities?

Also, did I read that Jambo House DVC guests have access to the CL in the AKL?


Thank you for any help. I never stay DVC. I have a mortal phobia of cooking when on vacation!

If I recall correctly a value studio room is about 3 feet less in length than a deluxe studio. They are less points, or cash, and book up quickly. The views can vary, they are on the 4th?? floor only, I think. There are lots of details on the DVC Resorts board.

Only DVC guests in the club floor rooms have access to the club lounge. There are 5 two bedroom lockoffs, which can be split into studios and 1 bedrooms, they are on the 6th floor next to the lounge. The remaining DVC rooms are on the 5th floor with no club access.

Only if you pay for club level access.

Club Level for Dvc is a separate booking category and is next to impossible to book even for an AKV owner. Value studios are a bit smaller and have a savannah or pool view, there is a slight chance for a parking lot view. There is little to no availability for this November in a value studio. They also book quickly at 11 months.

How about the views for the deluxe studios? Are they varied as well? This sounds like the type room that they will have to book at this point.

I has been able to book club a few times. It is difficult to get but not impossible.

We just got back last week. We rented 2 deluxe studios at Jambo House. One for tje first two nights, which was standard view, and one for the last 4 nights that was Savannah view. We requested to be close to the lobby and while both rooms were great, we really loved our standard view room, as it was right by the bridge that goes over the lobby and thr balcony opened up to an enclosure that, imo, was just as good as a Savannah view.

I think you understood the answer about points costs for the different levels of DVC at AKL, but just want to verify that you cannot pay extra for CL. It is only available to the CL booking category of DVC.

If you want club access, you may want to book a regular AKL club room instead of a DVC studio. They are on the 4th floor and all have a savannah view. They have 2 queen beds, not sure if there is a bunk bed option in club. None of the DVC studios have bunk beds, they are all 1 queen bed and 1 double sofabed.
