Hi,

I was wondering if someone would be able to answer this for me. The Dolphin has "lake" view rooms, "resort" view rooms and "resort" view rooms with balconies.

Can someone tell me what the difference is between a lake view room and a resort view room? I have a feeling that we might have been upgraded to resort view rooms on our last two trips and not even know it. I would assume if all rooms that have a balcony are resort view rooms and you are in a room with no balcony but are next to a room with a balcony then you would have to be in a resort view room. If you use that logic then I cannot figure out were the lake view rooms are?

Lake view rooms --- you view just that - the lake and probably not see any of the resorts (Y/B Club or BW). You might view the pool area, too, with a lake view. A resort view gives you just that - Y/B Club and BW and Swan view. We had an Epcot view which also looked out over the Y/B Club to the left and BW and Swan to the right. Spaceship Earth was dead center. We had a balcony room in the east wing. Every other room had a balcony so even those without a balcony had this same view.
A resort view is one up from a lake view room.

I hope this helps. :D

Thanks. I am going to have to take a closer look as I did not think that I saw and area that did not have any balconies on it. So I guess we were upgraded to resort view rooms on our last two stays. Cannot wait to be back there again.

Lake views are in the main part of the hotel facing the lake, while resort view rooms are in the "fingers" off the main building. Resort views can have a balcony or not, lake view rooms don't have balconies.

Hope this makes sense!
