Dietary needs

Hi!
Anyone can tell me if Disneyland hotels/ restaurants can help with special dietary needs? My daughter is allergic to cow's milk, so I'm in a dairy free diet (she will be 7 mo by the time of our trip and hope still breast-feeding). Any experiences?

I myself have food allergies (mainly allergic to certain nuts and shell fish) and my experience has been, yes! They have alternatives. Mention it as soon as possible to a cast member and if making any dining reservations, mention it then too.

At places like the Plaza Inn where you choose your food, pay, then sit down, mention it to the cast members behind the counter at the various food stations before paying and they will let you know if they have options for you or will find out about the ingredients.

You'll have more options at sit down restaurants like Cathay Circle in DCA or Blue Bayou, but the sit downs restaurants are not your only option. Typically Cast Members will do everything they can and if they don't have an option at their place for food, they can recommend somewhere that might.

If you really want to take the guess work out right away, go to City Hall as soon as you arrive at the park and mention your dietary needs. They can get you the information then and there. Hope this helps!

At the top of each page on the disboards, there is a "dining" link. You can follow that and look at menus to get an idea of what restaurants' menus look like.

Like the previous poster mentioned, note the allergy on any reservations you make, and mention it to any cast members you come in contact with.

On a side note, since you are nursing, just wanted to remind you that you are allowed to nurse anywhere you are legally allowed to be, including throughout Disneyland, and they can't ask you to move/cover up. Should you choose to not nurse out in public, there's baby care stations (one at the end of Main Street, one in DCA) with rocking chairs to nurse in... There's also lots of quiet places to nurse, which some babies need at 7mos
