Didn't receive email regarding online check in...

I am leaving in less than a week, but I didn't receive an email for online check in. I checked my spam folder and it didn't go there. I don't mind waiting to check in when I arrive, but find it odd I didn't get an email. Does this happen often?

In all my trips, I have never gotten an email to notify me of online check in. I always just know the date from my on line account. I didn't even know the email notification existed.

If you log onto "My vacation" it will give you a reminder that you can do online check-in.

They don't e-mail you at all. Think of the logistics of Disney trying to e-mail every single person; the times people change their trips, have to delay them, etc. It would be an utter nightmare.

Well, they did email me yesterday. I received an email at 7:40 a.m. yesterday with the title "your Disney vacation is almost here ***** family!" It had some other stuff including "times, tips, & info"; "explore your resort"; "plan your adventure", and a clickable link for online check in, which I used. But yes, you can just log onto your account and check in there, you don't need a specific email. It was nice to get it, though.

Well, they did email me yesterday. I received an email at 7:40 a.m. yesterday with the title "your Disney vacation is almost here ***** family!" It had some other stuff including "times, tips, & info"; "explore your resort"; "plan your adventure", and a clickable link for online check in, which I used. But yes, you can just log onto your account and check in there, you don't need a specific email. It was nice to get it, though.

If you want to double check whether or not you are checked in, you can call or I think if you pull your account up online it will say whether or not you're checked in. When we went last month we had received an emailed stating we had checked it and anytime we make reservations we receive an email. When we had switched resorts before we received an email confirmation for that as well. It's all system generated.
