Didn't get DDE card for trip last week... kicking myself!

Our family was in WDW last week, and we had a great time. On the 2nd I got the 2005 AP sleeve and was excited to see that the DDE was available for our group and the 20% would save us a lot of money. However, when I went to guest services they said that this was a misprint and that it was still only for Florida residents. When I called the number I also heard the same thing on the recording. I didn't bring my computer on this trip so I wasn't 'in the know' with the DIS community.

I am just kind of disappointed in myself that we missed out on the savings...... should I call and explain? I doubt they'll offer any reimbursement...

Nonetheless, I’ll probably get the card for upcoming trips, and we still had a great time. Just wanted to share..

Well, can I come stand next to you so that I don't look totally stupid kicking myself too? I also bought an AP on 1/2, was at WDW all week-and I never even bothered to read the sleeve info. Does anyone know if I buy the DDE card, say, in May (my next trip), will it be good for 1 year from May, when I buy the card, or only 1 year from when I bought the AP?

I think the exp. is the end of the calendar year. That is what I keep hearing. You know, just in case they decide to take the option away from all the AP holders at the end of the year.

My expiration was Jan 2006, but I wrote back and told them I heard some were getting the Feb expiry. This was her response (and the fastest I ever heard from Disney)

We have updated the expiration to 2/28/06 and will update this on all the cards that have been ordered in the past week. We were just made aware of this today so we have just started telling our guests about it on the phone. Your membership will also be valid until February 28, 2006.
