I am officially starting to freak out! My DH doesnt get a lot of time off (Only in July) So I booked us on a long weekend Thur-Mon. This was the longest amount of time we could get away. We went last year for our first trip so we have some what of an idea on what we want to do.
BUT now we got a ticket upgrade to WP & More?!?! I was so excited but now Im freaking out! We do arrive early on Thurs and late on Mon. So we will get partial days but wow that weems like a lot to fit in a small amount of time!

Any suggestions on how I can get things to run smoothly? Oh yea we were going to try DTD?! We must be crazy!

Just don't plan to do everything, or you will drive yourself crazy. We went for a week, and I wish that we skipped MGM altogether. Ask your family what they prefer, but maybe pick your family's fav 2 parks and a water park, and just plan on that.

I know that it is difficult to reason in your head (is that the word?), but I wouldn't feel like I have to use WP and more just because I have them for free. We had them for free in Jan., but we didn't use them. It didn't bother me as we had plenty to do without it (and we were there for a full week).

If you are set on DTD, you could do that one evening or one of your partial days.

Just some thoughts...I hope that it helps!

Sounds like you'll need to be really choosy about how you spend your time. Let everyone in the family pick something they really want to do and stick with the list of favorites. Everything you don't do will get added to the list for the next trip. If you don't feel like you "have to do it all" you will be less stressed and able to enjoy yourselves more. Then you'll have a good excuse to go back!:)

Thnks guys that is pretty much my plan not to over do it,but Im still a lil on the freak out side!:lmao: So much to do so little time! guess well just have to book another trip:rotfl:

We are going 3/29-4/6 with my DH's family. We went in 8-05 and my BIL and his family in 4-05. My IL's haven't been since Epcot first opened. So one weekend this fall when we were going to be together and cooped up due to weather I made a WDW questionare for everyone to fill out. Once I compiled the survey we were able to determine things like we didn't need a whole day at MGM or Epcot based on what everyone wanted to do in each park. If you do this too maybe it will help you determine where you need to devote most of your time to and that will leave you more time to experience some of the things you didn't last time like the water parks and DTD

Just another option...You could always add the no-expire option to your ticket (and more days either now or later) and save one of those park days for next time. If you think you're going again before TOO long, it would save you some money because the per-day cost should be lower if you plan on adding those days. We plan to keep on buying 10-day tickets no-expire and replacing when we use them up.

I guess I haven't taken the time to figure it out. Are they really worth it? Especially if you plan on using 7 days?

I love those great ideas! You guys always have good suggestions, the kind of answeres a DISer needs. Thanks Nettii:goodvibes

Not sure if that was directed to me, bless7ings, but:
Here is a link to all the ticket prices:

We found it a lot more economical to buy the 10-day and pay for no expiration rather than buy the ~3 days we expect to use each visit. I didn't run the calcs for a 7-day visit. If you expect to go every year for 7 days for 3 years, I suppose you could buy 2 10-day tickets, one loaded with premium and the other just regular and also alternate between those tickets, if it's worth the effort.

**One drawback, though, is that if you always buy the dining plan you do have to purchase a new base ticket (at least 1 day) every time you want that. So you would have to factor that in. Also, if you lose the tickets, as long as you have the numbers from them they can regenerate them...so put those numbers in another safe place or two!

Also, if I understand correctly, you can buy, for example, a 5-day no-expire now and then when you go back add the extra 5 days for whatever the difference in those two ticket costs are (the difference at the time of purchasing the additional days, not the difference at the day you purchase the first days.) And if children become "Disney-adults" LOL during that time period you just pay the difference in that cost, too.

HTH

Thank you for your response. I think the draw back for us would be we like to use the dining plan, especially if we can go in Sept. and it is free! So, I guess I will have to keep all what you said in mind. Thank you for taking the time to write it up.
